I have bought a second hand K04-064 from a Cupra(/S3/Golf ED30/R) that I am getting on my car which is originally a BWA with K03 turbo.

In order to make a new base map for this turbo I will of course copy the PID from a Cupra file that I have.

What other maps would be wise to copy in order to make just a base map for this turbo?

it is a possibility, you can copy all the PID maps and similar to have life easier but you can also spend more time to get a fine tuning logging your car and changing the PID in the best way also because i think you will want to run with more boost pressure of a k04 stock file. It is time consuming but is the best way according to me.

If there a guide on how to edit the PID map? I've never even seen a logging option for it.

Thanks for your input guys!

I was also considering copying the ignition maps since they are already calibrated to the raised boost profile (at least to 190% load). But I do not know if that would be wise since my engine has a little higher compression.

The issue with MED9.1 is that it is not very straight forward to log the PID components. The only option that I have seen until now requires injection of custom assembler code and changing the definition files in VCDS.
