Hey guy's i just bought the 2.7t engine and stuff needed for the swap into a b6 a4 1.8t. Question is i want to have wideband 02 sensor installed. I bought the 2.7t from a 2001 a6 2.7t not avant. Could i just use the 4z ecu from alroad that had wideband?

No 2.7 has wideband.

hmm I will do some research then. Ive heard of some aftermarket stuff but is there anything we can wire in to the ecu and be read in block data with vcds or even me7logger?

you can get a controller that will log your afr(usb, sd card, etc) or ouput to a gauge(some do both) that has the option for a narrow band output that can feed your ecu, or just weld another bung in place and add a second sensor.

Most of these don't work well in the 2.7t, they simply do not give signals the ECU expects.

or just weld another bung in place and add a second sensor.

The most common solution. Also, there are several threads on NEF about wiring those into unused ECU inputs for logging.
