Hey everyone,

Just like to introduce myself.  My first car was a Mk3 2.slow Jetta which exposed me to all things automotive, now I have a Twin Turbo 300ZX which I drive daily. Tongue

Just got myself a dirt cheap 1997 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro for a winter car.  Given I am a bit car crazy I decided to look into tuning the thing myself (super low budget build, so APR chip which costs more than the car is a no-no).  What I got myself into is a mess of confusion compared to my pretty much plug and play Nissan, lol.

From what I understand, my 8D0907557N ecu is not easily tune-able.  I need a MPPS cable and 12volts on pin 43 which will allow me to write, but I can't read.  So I would need a rip of the bin file since I don't have the tools to rip the stock chip.  Next I would need to edit the bin, but since no definition file is available that seems challenging.

Anyway looking for some guidance.  Attached a picture of the car and ECU for those who are interested or take pity on me.

Everything you said is correct. Way to do your research. I personally run the 557P software on all M5.92 AEB cars. It's posted here, and as far as earlier motronic goes is the best defined.

If you can't find it, I will upload it.

Welcome, and good luck.

Awesome, I remember reading about using 557P.  Do definition files exist for that bin?  In the Nissan world I use Tunerpro (seems like you guys do as well).  So that would be a XDF file, but I have read about something called a Damos file as well.

I will see if I can dig up that 557P bin.

Edit: Nvm think I found it.  Its a .kp file correct?

Hi,

I've been trying to find a 557P kp file. I tried the kenny kp (on a 577p), but the values don't seem to match the values on the 3.8 file on here.

Would you mind posting the definition/kp file you have for the 577p?

Thanks
