Not a commonly discussed car, but I'm buying one to play with on the track and don't want to use commercial software! Where's the fun in that ?! ORI attached

On the bench at the moment. The car I'm going to buy should be port flashable providing it's not running the later 7BUG software

I've never flashed one of these cars but I was wondering if you can read ecu through obd2?

Yes all firmwares can be read through the port. Usual clone tools can only write pre-7BUG software versions though. Legit tools like Kess/CMD can write all.

That one is MED17 2.0L - the car he has is ME9 2.5L
