me7.5 Retaining returnless fuel system with high boost??
« on: February 06, 2017, 07:38:55 AM »
Hi guys I am wondering if anyone here has kept their returnless fuel system in their b6 a4??Reason why I ask is because adding a return line solves the fpr issue however it increases fuel temp as fuel is being circulated to and from fuel tank. Also cause more fuel vapors in the tank causing the evap to cycle more frequently. So in theory isn't it better to keep the returnless??I know the stock system has a static 4bar fpr inside the fuel filter and that this poses an issue with higher boost levels, causing fuel pressure to drop. However if the fuel filter with a 6.4bar internal fuel pressure reglator was installed that would technically resolve the fuel pressure drop even with 2bar of boost no???Now the question is can a surge tank with inline pump be run in this configuration??Furthermore would any changes need to be made in the ecu to compensate for the increase in static fuel pressure??

Your decision.
You want returnless, you had better be able to tune for it.

Yes, everything is there to tune returnless... it doesn't change much, it is just a bit more work
