Hello,

The ODB port of my VW Golf MK4 1.8T was not working, i found out it does work after i pull fuse 11 and 15(Instrument Cluster Fuses).
I read that the CAN gateway is integrated, so I assume my instrument cluster (probably IMMO3) is faulty, it should work with these fuses in (I have another Golf MK4 and tried), So, i want to buy a new or used Instrument Cluster and swap it.(Or is it possible to fix it somehow?)

I ordered a Galletto 1260 cable because i'm planning to tune the car, am i able to read/write the Instrument cluster EEPROM and 95040 with this cable aswell?
If not, what cable can i use and why wouldn't it work with the Galletto 1260?
I also have access to a Maxisys Mini though, perhaps it's possible with this device?

Oh, And what exactly do i need to change in the EEPROM of the new instrument cluster for it to work?

Thanks!

You can write the cluster EEPROM with a KKL cable.

Ah okay, thanks.
Would a VAG K+CAN commander 1.4 work aswell? it has the same FTDI chip, which is a FT232RL.
