Can we log oil temp from me7.5 ?

Does anyone have information about this metric name or block number ?

There could be "toel" var or "toltm", which is modelled after engine temperature. Might also have a bunch of another oil temp related vars. But you have to dig the binary to say for sure.

The sensor is there, but it goes to the cluster, and not the ECU.

also this ecu running with BAM engine. now 2.7t or s4. Therefore it hasn't any cluster display for oil temp.

every 1.8t has the sensor in the sump and sends the signal to the cluster. it can be read from there. the ecu has no clue about oil temp.

Yea more like some 1.8t have a sensor in the pan.
Also that temp sensor has a range of -40c to 160c fyi.
