The reason I ask, is because I've seen 2 logs -- one mine, the other from the 1.8T community tune. Knock voltages are similar, however mine has timing being pulled, while the community one has no timing pull, so I assume negligible/NO knock.

What's the relationship between knock and knock voltage?

None. It is irrelevant.
Knock detection is done based on delta at the correct knock window.

And a notch filter as well.

Thanks Nyet and Prj. Although the only thing I've understood is "None. It is irrelevant."

And a notch filter as well.

Out of curiosity, whats the stop band parameters on this filter and where is it in the circuit?

I wish I knew. I assume it is in the sensor itself, there is no way the ECU is fast enough to do a FFT for the required freq (i think).

Uhm there is a separate knock processing chip on the board, the workings of which are explained in detail in the FR and in it's datasheet.

Thanks for the response guy's,
I see where your coming from with the FFT nyet and thanks for the heads up with FR prj. I'll go have a read.

All the best guy's
