Hi guys, long time lurker, new member here.
From the Netherlands and I've got a 2007 Audi S8 with the v10 BSM motor.
It uses 2x MED9.1 managements.
Got some plans, mainly to remove SAI, internal EGR valve timing overlap, raise Park/Neutral N-max, remove V-max and some other emissions related stuff.
I'm not new to 'tuning' but I am new to WinOLS and anything non BMW/Siemens.
WinOLS version (full) 2.24

So my problem:

I've kindly received from a tuner a .OLS from an R8 V10. It's map definitions should be compatible with the ones in the S8
I can open the .OLS and see a wealth of (probably factory-defined) tables and descriptions. But here's the deal, it already contains all values (so there is probably already a .BIN loaded in this .OLS project file, at least thats what I understand from it?)

Now I've got my own .BIN that I want to 'import' to the project, but when I do so (via import, or just drag the file into winols) it just tells me that it has found a whole bunch of 'potential maps' that it all *undefined* summs up below the whole defined maps with values of the R8.

I have no clue what to do??

Should I first 'remove' the R8 .BIN from the .OLS project/file or something, before I can import mine? If so, how to do so?

Would really really appreciate your help!
Thanks

Update;
I've managed to export a map pack .KP file and tried to make a new project, imported one of the .BIN and then the .KP but unfortunately this doesn't do sh!t... still have 77 undefined maps...
Anyone?

The SW versions probably don't line up that well. Post the ORI

Alright lets see if I can attach these files.

They are the .kp that I've exported from the OLS project, and two original files from a V10 S6. From what I've read it utilizes exactly the same map locations, just has a bit different 'tune'. I'm using these for the purpose of getting to understand everything, in the mean time I've got a MPPS and BDM100 on the way to read my own ORI's
I've also included the .bin export from the OLS project, for reference purposes

Oh by the way, I dont quite yet understand how to deal with when you have 2 DME's acting as Master and Slave. From my reading they both have identical software... but one is set as Master because of a voltage on a certain pin in the wiring loom connector? They certainly seem identical when I compare their content.

Attached you will find an actual version of an ols project that came out of an a2l + s19 file from an S6 V10 5.2 using the same BXA engine like yours.

It will not align perfectly with the version you have but everything is much closer than yours and you can easily import the maps once you figure out what you need with the appropriate offsets.Learn how to use the ols as nothing comes out of laziness. You might also consider buying the actual winols if you are planing to do this commercially.

Hey man thanks for that, I will study it.
I'm not sure what you mean with BXA, afaik it is a BSM, but I don't think that is important.
Doing my best with the WinOLS as I need it too use my OLS300 emulator for real time tuning my other car (e36 M3 evo)
I'm not a professional and I also do not have the ambitions to do this commercially by the way.
