Bosch MEG 0261205005 to 0261205006
« on: April 05, 2017, 11:22:22 AM »
Hi everybody.
I am newbie in tuning. I made an "custom engine for my Smart roadster". The engine was run and tuned on an ForTwo before. Would someone help me to transplant the maps from an ForTwo (005) ECU to a roadster one 0261205006?
Best regards

What is it exactly you're trying to do?
Is it the fortwo engine that has been tuned, and have you moved it into a roaster?
Or are you just blatantly trying to clone the tune from engine to engine?

Hi,
its an engine, that has been built from an 800ccm CDI lump, because of the larger displacement. Pistons and conrods are custom made, and head is Roadster petrol. When the engine was built it was first run in an fortwo, where the file was tuned. Now i installed the engine in a roadster and want to keep the tune.

If you have moved the entire engine to a new car, why not move the ECU/loom also?

Engine loom is pretty the same (i think the only difference is that 006 ECU has 2nd narrowband). But there are other things. This would be pretty much work, the Fortwo has other SAM module, it had not ESP, etc. I had not made the tune. I buyed only the engine and done some minor mods to it. The owner had and Fortwo and he gave me the file. So the only way to use the maps on my roadster is to copy it to 006 ECU.
