Hi

Helping someone out with their Audi 8L A3 1.8T AUM, the car is throwing "charge pressure deviation exceeded code" logs are showing N75 at 0% duty cycle as soon as boost comes on. actual boost is at 2000mbar from 2000RPM but requested is much lower 14000mbar. My first thought was faulty N75 so we swapped it out with my car but we had the same results as soon as the car starts boosting it closes throttle plate and N75 duty goes to 0% and actual boost stays at +/- 2000mbar.

I then found out the car had a dastek chip but it had been removed and apparently the car had been flashed as well, I read the file from the ecu and compared it too a similar ecu 06A906032HS the files are almost identical but LDRXN/KFMIRL/etc had been modified in the NK file. This lead me too believe perhaps a bad tune so used the HS file which looked stock and loaded it up. Still doing the same thing!

The only other thing I can think of is that perhaps the wastegate actuator has been adjusted too try and increase boost either that or its locked off? Suggestions, ideas, anyone?

Try flashing with a known stock file.

What is the actual boost, specified boost, and N75 duty cycle?

N75 is properly connected?

You can test the wastegate actuator with a MityVac hand pump to determine at what pressure the wastegate begins to move.

The only stock file I could find that was the same was the HS file. N75 is connected yup......... its a weird one!

N75 duty cycle in the log is showing zero almost all the time, and yet you are over boosting...

If there is an error code regarding boost pressure, that could be what is causing the N75 to be zero. This is assuming the log is correct, and the zero N75 duty cycle is not a lie.

I think there is a mechanic problem with the wastegate.

ok wastegate actuator arm had been adjusted and was stuck closed, readjusted it and now boost is being controlled by n75.
