Firstly, welcome all! I am new here. I have been trying to do my due diligence in researching this issue before hand as to not make an overly annoying post.

I did come across some information but I am also still having my own difficulties.

To begin with, I have a 2004 VW Jetta 1.8T for which I am trying to program a new key. I need the SKC pin in order to use VCDS; however, I am having difficulties, like a lot of others I suppose, in finding this pin. Using some software, I believe I have a 1mb bin file from the ECU which should contain all relevant information. I have read that 0x32 and 0x33 should be the memory location but I believe that is referring something people call "95040" (cluster dump?).

Hopefully someone can provide a guiding light. Later I will run this bin file through some tuning software that will hopefully automatically define some maps for me making it easier to segment the file and pinpoint the SKC

Thanks for the info - that sucks a bit but I am sure I can figure something out eventually. I think Vag Eeprom programmer has been mentioned a few times in here so ill try that
