Vehicle Sensors to RAM data
« on: November 01, 2018, 04:15:35 PM »
Im interested in adding a couple sensors to my 1.8TCH me7.5 ecu, specifically a EGT sensor and a Turbo Shaft Speed Sensor. From what I understand, the data module and hardware for an EGT sensor is standard on all 7.5 ecus and just coded out. Theres nothing related to the TSS in any of these cars. I know someone has fed a E85 sensor into the ecu using the rear O2 sensor, or something similar. Ive got a decent handle of assembly programming. Does the ecu read the sensor and write it directly to a RAM location or what is the process involved? I know its a basic question so if someone could tell me the name for the process i can chase it down on my own.
