Hey everyone,
 So Ive been using the S4Wiki,VCDS,TunerPro for a little over 2 yrs now. Marty helped bump me to get my brain working( Ill always be grateful & NEVER post what he helped me comprehend, better)  
 So Ive been making small adjustments over the months and now Im ready to adjust timing via KFZ's in timing/TunerPro
  I have compare bins open and axis on top don't match, BUT same engine/ecu
  Can anyone help me comprehend this next step changing, modifying an axis to keep my project going, please?
I tried searching forums for a few keywords Im stumped on and still don't see what Im looking for...never been good at searching

I am working on a writeup to share with everyone here and NO other Forum, but I need to be able to know what Im explaining and detailing so I don't misinform.

This is not required. In fact, both are really bad.

Please share things openly so people aren't forced to repost the same answers over and over and over and over again.

the maps for timing were to my car when it was a Tiptronic 09A trans
now that Ive done the 02j swap, I thought I could utilize similar timings in the KFZ*** maps
the top axis from the Auto trans (KFZWOP top axis values:10.1 15 19.99 34.99 49.99 64.99 89.98 124.99 149.98 168.99 197.98-- Left side axis are RPMs400-6520)do NOT match the maps in KFZ*** for my manual trans     which are    :                                         10.1 15 19.99 34.99 49.99 64.99 79.99 100.01 120 140 160.01 same RPM axis on the left 400-6520

This is where Im stumped. Im using 032HS .XDF. Those axis numbers resemble LDRXN or Load request but when I check those maps I dont see similarities that Im looking for to understand why the values are different.
 Im trying to understand. I DONT want it done for me. When I began I couldnt even use me7check.exe or me7sum.exe....now I laugh at myself, ofc

Was that a better way to ask my question ?

The maps use different axis data. Maps do not always share the same axis data as all other maps; each map can have its own axis data, or share a common one with one or more maps.

As long as the axis looks more or less right (the values make sense), it doesn't matter whether or not they share axis data with any other maps.

oh really? wow
so if I have a value in timing map starting at 1520RPM on 79.99 and 89.99 I can still bump my timing matching the first .bin file I had?
But how are the maps varying? Id like to fully understand why or where they are different. I believe the auto trans was 032HF and the manual is 032HS. Is that why I see a difference in the maps axis? Different software version/update or because the physical hardware?

The axis data is just another map. It can vary from binary to binary.

Axis maps can be shared between multiple maps, or not. Depends entirely on whoever did the calibration for that binary. Sometimes because the hardware is different, sometimes not.

If you look at the ASM for the map lookup routines, it becomes pretty clear how they work.

Axis data is different because I changed them. Using Winols it's very easy to change the axis values. In tunerpro it's just another map you need to edit as nye said. The woke point us to shift resolution up to max load request

How can I find the ASM on my binary?

The entire binary is ASM, from start to finish, except for the maps.
