I have a new ME7.5 ECU for my Golf GTI Mk4, and it is the exact same ECU as the one sitting in my car now. Same software id and same numbers.

I have read my existing bin file with Nefmoto software, and I want to transfer it to my "replacement" ECU.

Can I install the new ECU in the car and flash it with my bin file (before I try to start the car), or will this not work?

Why am I doing this - I want to make sure that my bin file (which have a edit of FVPDKLDUS settings) is working like it should, and I dont want to brick my current ECU.

I have made sure the checksum is correct, but I am still afraid to mess up my current ECU, so I bought a similiar ECU from a used car.

I am a newbie, and sorry if this question has been answered before.
