Yestreday i got K04 in really good shape. My plan is to fit it on my B6.  So I first loose the  copmresor side and turn it for 180°
But I am not sure is that was a good decision to do by myself, schould I get this turbo to some turbo service to do this, is there some procedure how to tight compresor side? Blades are moving free, but i didn't check resistance before and after, so I don't know 100% is it good now

Actutator now will not fit, it need relocation. And i think I will made a custom manifold

Is there any special procedure when you turn inlet side for 180°? Or yust loose bolts, turn the compresor side, tight bolts?

Just loose and rotate , same thing for chra . But your manifold will not fit , u have to get china cast manifold for longiditunal engine or modify turbine housing to fit k03 manifold (my case ) . I was first build my own custom side mount manifold for gt25 , after that reworked for k04 and then go to k03 manifold because everything will look better . Your wastegate must be modified too . U have to fill egt hole inlet must be changed and new downpipe . Everything else fits .  I upload pics Its rs6 genuine chra with machined housings to fit. For now will be with stock wastegate im planning to get mamba with adjustable springs . We put a lot of them on 2.7 biturbo and they handle verry good. Sorry for my bad english.

U can take k03 housing to machine shop to machine it and fit , but it will increase backpressure because of small housing. Best choice is k04 cast manifold and just bolt it on .

Hi! Here you have pics of my "build" k04-023 on a4b5. I had to wedl some fitting pipe to connect turbo with stock exhaust manifold. And don't forget to make some support for turbo. If you fitting k04 charger to longitudinal engine, it's good time to do 3" downpipe. If you have quastions about it just ask Smiley i'll try explain you my methods to run k04-023 on a4 1.8t. Btw. My engine code is AWM. And sorry for my not specially good english...
