So, bloody stupid voltage issue,

Few questions and help please

1) Can a med9.1 from a3 2005 / 2.0 TFSI be bench flashed / recovered or is it case opened and BDM probe ?
2) With the ecu starting the engine for half a second and then cutting out - what Image do I use to "recover" the ecu ?
2.1) Do i just download a matching ori from ecubin and use eeprom_v2 to remove immo and write using ecu pins or direct connection ?
3) Does this have to be done using bench flash ? the ecu is still in car and somewhat responsive ? if so how do i fix this ? the recovery mode in NewGenius is not working on this at all (Dimsport recommends bench flash using trasdata)

any other pointers / guides welcomed

Thanks
