Hello!

I have an Audi TT MK1 2000 model that i would like to remove the immo on.

I have computer with Windows 10 64 bit and a vag com KKL 409.1 (CH340 CHIP) cable.

When i try to read with OBD it errors out when reading eeprom with errorcode (0x01).

When i try to read with bootmode (through OBD in car) - i try to put it in bootmode by ground pin 24 for 8 seconds when starting the car. I get errorcode 0x07 - No Reponse from ECU. Or i get error 0x20f07, No Reponse from ECU.

Is it cause it's CH340 chip or is the windows version to high (need to get xp or windows 7) or am i not putting it into boot mode correctly?

Regards,

WIN 10 is fine

either the cable or your process is wrong...bootmode on car rarely works needs benching.

Don't bootmode on car, just in case.

Put on bench with stable power supply, read, modify and write and you'll good to go.

I've done the same things as you a year back or so, except bench bootmode, but the CH340 simply does not work with me7eeprom, I guess it uses FTDI specific code or libraries.
