i know the Case isnt waterproof but that doesnt bother me because my ecu is in the Interior ^^

only DTC should be "p1473" right?

would flash HS eeprom and Flash

someone try it with HS or HN OR HP?

If you have both file take and run both thru me7 corrector and see what boot rom version it is if they both are 5.12 or 6.02 (matching) bootroms they should cross flash but you have to keep an eye on the bin file sizes im not sure if a 512k file box will hold a 1m file or vise versa it may not work....After you found a cross flash file use a compatible immo 95040 file with immo file turned off to make sure your right on the money. now if they both use the same coding digits it shouldnt be an issue 016001 or what ever example as the soft coding may be different per the ecu file type...I hope this helps or makes sense to a degree sometimes im not clear with my explanations...Doing the best i can to be of some assistance this is just what I have fiqured out first hand ...now v6 to 1.8t ecu boxs no idea if they are cross flashable as Ive only used 1.8t boxes..Someone else may know if you can use a v6 ecu on a 1.8t but i havnt seen much.. with my poking around but not something I was looking for... If you dig up both files and post them ill poke at them I may have them.. ill  see what they have and see what my thoughts are just be ready with boot mode flashing if it goes bad...

It seems to be the same boot rom so theoretically it should work ...but It may not no promises you could try it and just make sure be boot mode flashing with bench flashing hardware to be able to save your arse..!!! also look into using a compatible immo file they maybe incompatible! I screw up constantly and boot mode is a life saver and have to pay for it so I know just a smidge of what the pros on here do..test the ecu box with vcds lite trial to see if it connects after flashing before plugging into your car ....

yea and they are both 4 cylinder turbos and both have wideband o2 sensors ya? if it has wide band or dosnt you can pin that out and wire it in someone on here has a write up on it so it should cross flash fine!!! just have a bail out with boot mode flashing ....but if the immo coding is diffrent itll have to have a compatible immo flashed in ...you will have codes for hardware that dosnt match if it dosnt match youll see odd codes and some hardware is the same just calibrated differently and wont show a code invest in boost guage if you dont have one.... so but I do know per series of ecu and model they have different hardware turbo spool sizes injectors and fpr and God know what else so be easy on the first drive and run diagnostics like your life depends on it....

I think dc type ecu dosnt have vvt so be warned dont throttle the shit out the car right off the bat..Till you confirm that im not sure about hn file.,... sounds like one is a4 forward position and the other is sideways beetle or jetta type so take the time and diagnose it good as there are tons of diffrences but they will run just how well is another story
