Can I clone MED17.5 ECU (Change SW) using MPPS?
« on: August 14, 2021, 04:24:29 PM »
Hello dears,
I just wanted to know if I can clone an ECU to another ECU using MPPS V18?
I can bench read and write flash and eeprom with boot pin grounded.
What is the procedure to clone an ECU? Is cloning the Flash and EEprom enough?
TIA!

No. Each tricore processor have unique ID in OTP memory which can't be changed.
To clone you must especially prepare and change eeprom content.

clone v18 for tricore is a good way to convert a ecu into a door stop

So if I clone the EEPROM and the flash, would that be enough to set up the ECU?

You need to adapt immo data in eeprom to match the second ecu.
