ME7.5 1.8T b5a4

0 OEM parts almost.

Do people bother "fixing" up the modelled EGTs (ATM) module after many component changes like bigger downpipe, decat, turbo change, manifold change etc? Specifically for BTS fueling its fairly important.
Or just put an EGT gauge somewhere and send it ? Like many things in ME7 the model is very accurate when stock, how much when changes occur that are very far from stock Smiley ?

Anyway lets take a look:
So for BTS fueling there are 2 paths for the critical temperature, one is temp in manifold , one is temp infront of the cat.

Both of these temps start out from 2 modelled static maps

KFTATM - for temp upstream of cat
KFATMKR - for temp in manifold

Both of these are obviously calibrated by the calibrator on an engine dyno with 5 egt sensor locations, but their load axis only goes up till 170% load in both cases, so would you extrapolate if you are running above 170 load?(170 load is still a decent amount boost however high hp cars run way more than that) Warning tho these are 8 bit axes so will be capped at 191.

After this temperature gets corrected by a bunch of stuff like ignition angle efficiency and lambda so all that is taken into consideration. For dynamic mode time constants/filters are applied and the result will be either tabgm or tabgkrm to be used in BTS fueling.

So if we got 0 oem parts in the egt stream would it be safe to numb either of these maps out somewhat % warrior style Cheesy (and if yes by how much ey ) if one does not have an EGT gauge or should they be recalibrated using one and changed until the model the matches the real measurement like the FR says so, obviously this would take a decent amount of dyno time AND road time specially during those where lambda req would be 1 and part throttle (highway).
Also if someone does not have a cat it would probably be advisable to switch cwlambts to use tabgkrm if they aint the same, verified by logging ofcourse.

Whats yall opinion on this? Cheers.
