seeing that i cannot find a damos or mappack  for my 558 m  ecu   i took the file off my tuned 558m ecu and compared it to my stock 558m to help create a map pack  it is a very slow process .....  i heard of someone using a m3.82 file on a m5.92 ecu and it ran fine it just had no diagnostic port im wondering if the diagnostic port info can be pasted from  M5.92 FILE TO A M3.82  in order to have the obd port

If you have 2 ecu's, you can test it. Don't forget the eeprom, as this might be the issue of obd-diags Wink

The hardware is nearly the same, so should be very doable.

Do you think I willll have to pad the file to be 256k I don't think mops will write the file unless it's the right size

Hi,

I missed that last .2 in your ecu-generation.  Use a M3.8.3-file for the M5.92

Case sorted Wink

If you need one, i can up one.

Cheers,

3.8.2 will not be possible to use.

3.8.3 you can use.

They are very similar structure, you can find all the maps in 3.8.3 easily with the 3.8.2 DAMOS.

ok in short here is waht i did i took a 557b 3.82 file in winols i opened the project properties  and  its file size is 20000 so i doubled it  to 40000 and filled the end of the file with ff  then i used mpps to write to my ecu  went successfully BUT lol  the car did start for about 2 seconds so either the immo stopped it or  something in the programming stopped it from running  but it wasnt a total fail

with the 557b file on that ecu it will not let you use the obd port to read fault codes i dont know why           the reason i wanted to try this is i was searching thru forums and i read that someone accidently did this and they said there car ran but could not use the obd port i wonder what could cause the port to go dead i wonder if 3.82  and 5.92 use a diff pin for diagnostics ?
