Hi all, I am very new to TCM tuning, and would like to start by asking how do I read the TCM from a TF-80sc transmission.

It seems the starting point is reading the file, then I can research modifying it to change shift points.
I would like to know what tools have to be used, and if it has to be done with the transmission out of the car to access the tcm.

The car is an AR159 3.2 that is having a 3.6 put in (should be the same setup as most Volvos with this gearbox), and the standard shift RPM is 6500, I would like to raise this as high as possible to 7000, or even 7500 rpm

I apologise if this question has already been asked, but I have not found any information yet so even a link to a discussion would be appreciated.

Thanks
Hugh
