Hey Guys,

I have a Genuine Ross-Tech HEX+CAN Dual-K & CAN <-> USB cable.  I can't seem to get NefMoto to work.  I keep getting "Failed to read test echo from FTDI device".

Any ideas?  The number on the cable is HC464286 Rev. A

The easiest is to just buy a 5 dollar blue KKL cable off of eBay and use that as a dedicated flashing/logging cable.

$5?  Do you have a link?  All I see is one for $60 http://www.ebay.com/itm/KKL-VAG-com-USB-Cable-OBDII-OBD2-Diagnostic-Tools-for-VW-AUDI-Blue-/180860204309?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item2a1c1bb515&vxp=mtr

Hi, you could try this: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/usb/virtual-com-port.html
And you must also uncheck the 'boot in intelignet mode' in the VCDS software.
I got my Genuine Ross-Tech HEX-USB+CAN to work with the EEPROM 95040 reader/writer util.
Haven't tryied on NefMoto yet........
