1.6 75kW BFQ in Octavia 1. I know this is a boring engine but I drive this car daily and this is annoying. Even though this is NA engine there is some throttle lag which appears to be rpm dependent (worst near idle). Probably some kind of emission control or simply incompetence of the software developers. Fast acceleration from a stop or parking uphill are quite problematic. Afaik the newer and very similar Simos 7.1 does not do this as much. I also drive 1.8T (ME7.5) which even though is a turbo engine does not have this initial lag and responds much better to the accelerator...
