Just curious if the ECU has any control over ESP functionality, or the default state.  In previous cars I have owned, I built a circuit that basically started a countdown timer when it received power, and then briefly closed the button circuit to simulate a button push - retaining the ability to turn it back on if required.  While crude, it worked.

I have also seen posts about disabling ESP in the ABS controller, but that's completely disabled (supposedly retaining ABS)

I'm just wondering if there is a more robust solution perhaps...
