How can I power it with out it being in the harness? Disassemble the ecu?
or, leave the stock connector out of it, and just power the pins.  I didn't get bootmode success until I added a switch to the pin3 power. the other +12 pins are energized as long as the supply is on. |

The wires are the leads from the power supply. The wire sleeving can be purchased from mcmaster carr, it just keeps a job clean.

That looks a lot better than what I have going on. I haven't gotten to test it yet. I think it will work though. Fingers are crossed if it doesn't a may try to make one like yours. |

I do. That's what caused all my questions from the beginning because it still had every single wire attached to it

Take the connector apart and remove all the unused wires. Much cleaner/safer.

Does anyone know how many amps the ECU uses? I have the chance to get a great deal on some 12V power supplies, but I don't know how many amps the ECU uses, so I don't know if what I can get will work. The options I have are 1.7A and 3.4A, both 12VDC output.
