Hello,
i would like to ask you, how can i log the variables of the ECU of my Audi 200 20V.
I have a VAG KKL Cable and VCDS-Lite. Is ist better for me to buy the full version of the VCDS? Does the full version give any possibility to measure more Variables than those 10 from the Group 000?
Eventually, can you recomend me some other, better mesaure setup for better data logging, displaying and processing?
Thanx! Karel5000

Only block 000 is available on those. prj IMHO is the only one who'll know more about what can be done in order to log more than those 10 values.

I have no logs because I have a boost gauge (makes things easier)

You can either implement McMess or write own logging protocol - I did the latter.

I use a SSI-4, Duty Cycle, MAF voltage and Ignition Timing for my S4 V8. Add the measuring block functions is on my to do list - have to take a deep dive into the assembler code of RS2 and V8 software. Will be a question of time more or less.

How did you take the deep drive into the code of RS2 and V8? Through the IDA Pro?

Tallking about McMess, i know only ES585 from etas working with inca. One can probably download the software and data inside and parallel emulate, measure and tune. Then we need only a file with addresses. It needn't to be bad... Do some other, cheaper devices and softwares exist on the market, supporting this kind of protocol?

I doubt you'll find a proper A2L file for a 2.2 20vt in order to work with INCA. Those used to be tuned with a VS20, which was even pre-.dam data format as far as I know.

Yes, you are right. It would have to be built up. But the other option sounds good. Thanx!

But the ES tools are not for production ECMs. There you only can datalog and not tune. For work on the maps you need a ETK. Of course, you can flash the production ECM but this needs often some time - too much time for "real time" tuning Use a Innovate SSI-4

It sounds good. It must surely be cheaper than an ETK...
Thanx very much for the Tips.
