So I came to this forum as I really want to learn how to do a cat delete on my 2002 passat 4B0906018CL ME7.08 I think I have everything figured out other than the xdf. I have been messing around in tuner pro with my bin and using the M box xdf. My question is is if all I want to do is set my cat readiness do I need to get an xdf file for my exact ecm or can I just set CDKAT to 0 using the M box xdf?

You need an xdf for YOUR file. Not only must it be the same vag number, but also the same software version. M-box refers to 8D0907551M, you havea 4B0906018CL. If you attempt to modify your file using the M-box XDF you're asking for trouble.

That is kind of what I figured. Is there some place I can find or buy by XDF? I have also seen talk about making your own xdf, but I haven't really seen any good info on how to do it.
