A little info: I have a harness cut from a car and wired so I can use ob2 obviousl doesn't work till immo is deleted
I also have bdm100 pins set up for med9< will med9 pogo pins be the same for med17?

Please slow down before I get a heart attack.
MED9 is MPC555/556 - Motorola, therefore there is no bootmode. Only BDM access. So no harness needed for that.
MED17/EDC17 is Tricore - Infineon, and you need boot mode. There is NO BDM access for MED17 because there is no such connection for tricore MCU's.

What exactly are you trying to do with your harness? And how immo is involved in all of this, is really beyond me.

Ok sorry, ok ill start with how immo is involved in this, you cant flash med through say bench harness because immo.
Next edc17, what do i need to have a bench harness work on this, or is there no such thong? When i say bench harness i'm talking about the picture i'll upload. Can i bdm edc17 also?

Last but not least med17, what can i use to read flash?

To bench flash MED17 you may have to pop the case and add some resistors to the ecu pcb. It's all in the manual for whatever cable you're using, clone or not.

Clones+new ecus=heartbreak

Just be prepared with full backups, and realize that due to the OTP sectors on these ecus, they can't just be cloned, immobilizer can't just be transferred, and recovery isn't always a simple task.

The "password thing" on MED17 wasn't defeatable with my clone Galletto 4. I wouldn't even try, personally, unless you're OK bricking the ECU.
