Why some stock 1.8t(US version) have 132 g/s and others (EU versions) have 122 g/s ? Boost and RPM are the same.
After reflashing the first one has 170 g/s max (actual 1 mbar on high RPM), the second has only 135 g/s (requested 0.950 mbar, but actual after 5000 RPM around 0.750-0.850 mbar)
And I logged another (third 1.8t EU car) that was tuned even not by me. The same thing - 0.7 actual on high RPM, no leaks also, AFR is ok, max air mass 130 g/s, no DTC.
I think that probably cylinder heads are different. Could anyone tell me please am I right?
The max g/s I've logged on my US 1.8T GTI is 206g/s using a stg1 file from Nuespeed. Boosts starts tapering down @ 5500rpm.
I have heard the heads are different. The intake ports are larger like the AEB head(US) has in the EU head models. But this shouldn't matter at all. The amount of air flowing through the MAF isn't going to change because the heads are different. Not to my knowledge anyway.
