Been thinking about this when you unplug something you get a code instantly open circuit when you cycle the ignition.
Does the ecu go through a POST (power on self test) .
Is there a table of what the ecu needs to check
lets say check ecu hardware... check ok> check code words... check ok > check physical hardware... check ok
something i would like to learn more about
