Hello, I am new here. I am from Sacramento, CA. I am happy to have found a forum that deals with this gibberish.
I am having some troubles with reading anything off of my v1.9 AEM ECU.
I am stumped with what is going on. The car randomly stopped driving, and would no longer start up for me. I made sure thats not the wiring or relays, and when I try to get on the ECU via laptop, It reads that it found ECU and re-establishing coms. It says that it is "reading checksums from ECU". I attached a pic of the message.

What is it doing. How long is it going to read checksums? I don't understand how come the car randomly stopped running. If you guys could please help. This stuff is really confusing, and I don't understand why it's doing this. Thanks.

FYI, I found out that the aem stand alone needed a new EPROM chip. I made sure all the wiring had power up to the ECU, and then then decided to send it in to get tested.

Bad EPROM.
