Hey guys,
I have a weird question. So ME7 (8D0907551K in this case) the fuel pump gets
primed sometimes, not always when you turn the ignition on.
Now I have an aftermarket FPR, huge fuel lines, etc. and on most cold starts
the pump does not get primed and I need to crank the car twice because the
first time it just dies off after a second. So the question is... is there a way to
make the ECU prime the fuel pump every time the ignition is turned on?

According to the part number you have a rs4 b5.
Fuelpump in this case, has nothing todo with the me7 ecu. ( i think)
Check your relais for the fuel pump. In some cars the fuel pump will turn on for a short moment if you open the door or if you turn the ignition on. In your case the problem is the missing vent in the fuel pump which normally prevents the lines from loosing 3bar and getting emptry.
If your fuel line from the fpr all the way back to the pump would hold the fuel for days, there would be no need to run the big pump for a longer time than 1second.

The relay is controller by the ECU. If you open the door you hear the vacuum pump, nothing more. According to the part number you have a rs4 b5.

This. Your checkvalve is busted or you don't have one  Or you have big leak somewhere. |

Both fuel pumps have a check-valve, and they are brand new, but that does not mean that they aren't bad  I don't have a leak for sure. Anyway this is not a super important thing, just wanted to know if it's possible to change the mapping of the ECU to prime every time. Thanks for input! |

No, I understand what you are asking for, and I'm fairly certain it doesn't exist in ME7.1 at least.
The pump relay is not controlled by the ECU afaik.
What I am saying is that there might be something else amiss if the pump has to be primed on EVERY start.

I don't remember if I ended up with a asm patch or changed a value, I think it was a value. I'll try to look tomorrow.

Hello ! Whether a solution is found constantly running the fuel pump when the ignition? other on the Audi TT transmits a check valve in the fuel pump, and the vehicle starts up only 4 - 5 times.
