Hihi... Decided to come out of lurking and become registered.  I am in the process of putting a 1999 B5 Passat 1.8t back together after buying the car for $400 with a bad motor. So far, I've had it a year, and it's in pieces in my driveway. (Though the old motor is out!).

Came to learn about PCM/ECU flashing. I don't think my particular ECU is capable of being flashed by the OBD-II port, but I want to learn about it anyway as I plan to maybe move to a newer VW as time goes on. I have a 8D0 907 557P ECU.
