Additionally, if you save the eeprom BEFORE attempting a read, then write it back when you're done you won't have this issue either

dd- does this issue come up much? IS this something that should be added to the FAQ? I always thought reading was safe...

The only cars it kills are the 03-05 allroad/a6. The other vehicles still start and run, just have the code from what I've seen. There is a sticky with the warning, but it can't hurt.

I had it fail to exit properly on a B6 A4 1.8t AMB. It read the full file and then left the "programming not finished" Code. Car would just crank, no MIL illuminated. I emailed you about it I think.
I then just flashed the same file I read and it fired right back up. Guess it only happens during reads?

Even CMD has this issue as I know. MPPS has the same problem also. So Nefmoto flasher, FGtech, CMD, MPPS.
I've never read tuners had "programming not finished" on other ECUs, only VAG ME7.
But this is not a big problem, after reflashing via OBD everything is fine. Boot doesnt work in this case, but if you dont want this DTC, use boot all the time.
