Hi,

i started to tune my first own file. I've read some basics here and in the wiki.
But i can't found a "how to start" or something else for beginners.
By the way i spent a lot of time for reading "Bosch ME7 Funktionsrahmen" and some wiki articles.

What i am looking for is a short description how to start tune, particularly which maps to change first for testing/learning.

My goal is to learn the backgrounds of ECU-tuning and not only copy out from a pattern.

I will start by changing map by map and try it directly in the car, because i will see the effects of each map. For myself learning-process it's not good to change many maps at the same time.
And that's my problem.
I don't know if it's possible to change only a small amount of maps. Not for daily driving, only for testing/learning.

E.g. changig LRDXN, KFLDHBN without changing KFMIRL, KFMIOP, KFZW, KFZW2, LAMFA, KFLDIMIX and so on

Absolutely, you can start small, especially with stock hardware.

Thank you for your fast answer.

Sounds good.

If i change only LRDXN in steps of about +20 with driving every step to see the result, is it possible without changing something else? Is there a risk running to lean without changing ignition and something else?

And what will be a proven sequence for changing maps? Which maps should i change step by step after changing LRDXN and LRDXNZK?

Start with LAMFA. Fuel before boost, always.

Then log, ensure that you are requesting a richer than stock mixture. After that, add some boost via LDRXN!

I don't understand the question?

wideband ecu saw realtime AFR and changes injection time to match specified value. closed loop i guess
but narrowband sensor cant see 12 AFR for example, so how it make a rich fueling right?

That's why you have to ensure your fueling is right on narrowband. You log, you adjust, you log, you adjust.

FKKVS, KFLF, KFKHFM. Any combination of them is capable of altering AFR in either direction to better match requested.

You need a wideband in order to dial in WOT fueling on a narrowband car.
