I’ve been having huge problems with my S-Tronic gearbox. First, let me explain the initial issue: I was driving at 240 km/h on the highway when the engine suddenly shut off. Due to the speed, I was able to coast for about 4 km in neutral until I reached a parking area. Just before I got there, a message appeared saying, "Adjust driving style, gearbox overheating."

The car then sat from December 25th until January 7th. It turned out that one injector was defective, and the bolt had stretched so much that two injectors were loose. Today, I drove 80 km, and suddenly, at a traffic light, the car tried to engage first gear. You could see it in the instrument cluster with the “D” flickering between “D” and “D1.” Reverse gear worked without any issues.

I pulled over and waited three hours for roadside assistance. The diagnostic system showed no fault codes, and the car started working again, so I drove home. After another 50 km, the problem returned but only in gears 1, 3, 5, and 7. Once the gearbox gets warm, the issue happens. When coasting, you can also feel that the clutch isn’t functioning properly.
At what Fahrenheit temperature does the system report overheating?

Could something have been damaged from coasting? What do you think the problem might be?
