I'm close to having all the parts needed for a 3.6 FSI swap into my MK4 R32. The big tuning guys charge a lot, nearly $1000 CND, for making these ECUs compatible with the MK4 platform. Is there a cheaper way to make these ECUs work? I'm not so worried about tuning for more power right now, but the bigger issue is all the extra things that the ECU would be expecting to see that the MK4 does not have. ECU controlled coolant fans, possibly different version of CAN Bus, etc...

Can someone point me in the correct direction on this forum to someone who can help me? I'm picking up the ECU tonight and will have the part number from it soon, which I'm sure will help.
