Greetings Nef,

I recently just finished up a tip to 6 speed swap and a few minor upgrades to a B5 S4 (larger injectors, 3 bar map etc).

I know there are some procedures to recode the cluster / abs / ecu. However, if I have a 6 speed base tune file for my car & upgrades, can I flash that .bin and be done with it or do I still need to follow the recoding procedures?

Thank you for your time Smiley

Remove the TCU. Login to the ABS module with login 07495. Clear faults. Recode module so the last digit that was a 7 (auto) is now a 5 (manual). Make sure to enter a workshop code if you want it to stick. I use my zip to be clever. Then, turn the wheels straight, login again, this time with 40168, and go to basic settings. You should see the SAS is aligned. After that, close out the ABS module.

Next, connect to the cluster. Go to ADAPTATIONS. Channel 60 (powertrain can-bus). Subtract 2 from the number shown. IE if it is 1027, change it to 1025. Hit test, then save.

That is it.
