Ive had the missing message from instrument cluster code on a tt we did wideband conversion for. We sourced a jetta ecu and reflashed it and the same code exists. A cost of using the cheap awp jetta ecu. Maybe your situation is similar? It never caused any problems just exists in the background, mil was never turned on for it.

As for the n249 code, you need to locate the chain of eskonf and adjust the value on the last byte. Eskonf should look like AA FF 00 30 FF F8 30
the last byte of "30" means you have n249 on egr off sai relay on and vvt active.
value of 30 in binary equals
00 11 00 00. to turn n249 off the first 00 needs to be changed to 11.
11 11 00 00 equals "F0" when put into bin to hex converter. so depending on other hardware configuration your eskonf should read AA FF 00 30 FF F8 F0.
