Hi all, I was helping someone out with a Seat Ibiza 1.8t 6K that had a drowned ecu. These ecu's (032AA) are pretty rare and expensive around here so I tried to set up one of my Audi ecus with the 032AA flash. The ecu's are not exactly identical, but if you don't try you'll never know right :-)
It boots just fine on the bench, but in his car it doesnt boot. I could not think of any wiring problems except for the pin 121 not being powered in the car? Don't have the car near so I cant measure the ecu connectors at this time, but if I can help this guy out by adding just power to pin 121 I can give him an ecu for €20 instead of €300+...

If i remember correctly:

There are early me7 cars/ecus without motronic relais. They will never switch on pin 121 which goes to the relais.
If the car has a relais but the new ecu doesnt give power out of 121 you simply have to remove the 121 pin from connector and solder it to KL15 (ignition on power)

He is measuring if there is switched 12v on the connector side pin 121 tonight, if it doesnt we'll just add it and test again :-) (good time to clean the connector contacts as well, terrible location for an ECU without a water box...)
** he measured...nothing because pin 121 is not present in the connector loom  Grin Might be because the other narrowband ecu's on this car are ME7.1. Dont know. I think I'll run a wire inside of the ecu first to see if it starts up, to keep it plug n play.

To confirm:
I am now successfully running an Audi A4 ME7.5 512kb ecu on a ME7.5 Seat Ibiza 156hp by powering pin 121 through a bridge wire in the ecu.

Grin Grin Grin Great to know that TijnCU. I had same problem with a ME7.1.1 almost a month ago. Powering pin 121 do the trick...
