Why would Nefmoto and Vag Commander read my OEM ECU but not two other tuned ECUs?

I'm trying to receive my SKC/PIN from my oem ECU and two tuned ECUs. Nefmoto will read the general info from the OEM unit but it will not do a full read. Vag Commander will read the OEM ECU but the resulting HEX is 01 00, SKC being 0001.

The 2 tuned ECUs I have will not connect to either Nefmoto or Vag Commander. All this is being done in my car.

One other odd thing is when I install one tuned ECU and try and start the car it will turn over but not trigger the Immobilizer.

Any input would be appreciated.

I guess that is possible, and it would be just my luck too.

One is from United Motorsports the other is C2.


Also if a moderator could move this to the noob questions that might help.
