Is there any way to ressurect an ECU which failed a bootmode flash and therefore fried itself? (ie the circuit from the car battery was grounded through the 24th EEPROM pin (sparked)). I have an M-Box but like i said, its fried? Can a new EEPROM 800BB chip fix it?

I feel the need to sort this in my head. You bought a car, and felt JFONZ owed that car a tune, but you did not buy the Jfonz tune then JFONZ sent you a tune which bricked your ecu and that was ok for roughly 2 years. Then you bought a DAZ tune, but based on the timeline I have drawn on my white board you were very close to being able to tune it yourself at this point. Anyhow now you wish to recover the bricked ecu, which I guess is maybe the only part of this story I understand and you want me to believe that you have read this forum and could tune your own stage 2 but cannot get a ecu into bootmode.

If this is in fact what has happened, and you just come out and say it I will help you get this ecu into boot mode right now!

Hard to say, since there is no way of knowing which components are dead.

It truly isn't worth it
