Hello All!  Smiley

I have purchased two ECU's from Ebay going from the S4 wiki to see what is compatible with the S4 B5. These are:

Audi A6 2.7tt : 4B0 907 551 T
Audi Allroad 2.7tt : 4Z7 907 551

Quoted by daz:
"You bought a used ecu that has an immobilizer and want to install it into a car that doesn't.

Simply flashing a bin from a car that didn't have the immobilizer referenced in the programming (any North american s4) will disable checking, allowing you to run a mismatched ecu. If you do this the contents of the 95040 are irrelevant."

So the process I would go through to use these two ECU's would be:
1) Bootmode ecu
2) Install Mbox binary file on ecu
3) connect ecu to car
4) car should start?

Is this correct?

regards.

Yes to all, but you will likely need to do an engine recode via vcds.

Audi A6 2.7tt : 4B0 907 551 T

This one you might be able to flash using nefmoto. You may not need bootmode.

Quote
Audi Allroad 2.7tt : 4Z7 907 551

This one might be ME7.1.1 depending on which 551 it is.

there are many

http://files.s4wiki.com/stock/part-numbers.txt

If it is ME7.1.1 you CANNOT USE IT in an S4

4Z7907551   01 0261206638-1037-354809         6mt NA  ar APB

according to the Wiki It should work. I am just checking how I go about flashing it to work with my S4 Smiley
