Hello, i want to make a knock  logger based on me7 ecu.can be a stupid idea or not Tongue.
i want to know if the me7 ecu can sense knock only with knock sensor plugged in and power to the ecu.
and some more questions like if The knock sense of the me7 is TPIC8101 IC?

Very unlikely to happen. How are you going to detect the knock window without having even basic (cam/crank position) info about the engine?
Not even talking about all the assembly hacking required for it.

Might want to read up on how knock detection works. First link from google that has some basic info:
