using a prolific based USB - Serial converter for my vagcom cable (which is serial)

is this not supported?

The NefMoto software only works with FTDI based USB cables because the software talks directly to the FTDI driver.

Future versions of the NefMoto software SHOULD support basic serial COM ports and work with any USB to serial converter cable.
