1) Please use cut and paste from the cmd window, don't take a freaking picture of the screen.
2) the first error is a driver problem.
3) the second is either the ECU isn't powered up, there is something interfering on the k line (such as the cluster), or the baudrate is too high.

Are you using the right port?  I mean, is your cable actually port 2, or have you just blindly inserted numbers?

start the car, pull the cluster fuse, attempt to log.  Seems like you have some sort of interference going on that is causing failure.

one thing I noticed with my laptop , I could not connect it to the power in the car , IE , inverter or 12v pc power inverter , it caused too many com errors, ran it on its own battery and it was fine .

having issues on my A6 C5 too. Cant communicate with ecu, tried pulling fuse for instrument cluster (number 15, 10a) but lights on cluster still on, and no connection to ecu.
Have tried different usb ports, nothing

taken nyet's advice:
"Use VisualME7Logger instead"

I'mm with the same problem, only connect with ecu off.
once I turn on ignition the connection fails at the exact same time, getting error code -8. this happens using visualME7logger or ME7_Gui.

Do anyone already figured out how to solve this?

ps: in nefmoto logger it works fine while igntion is on, had some troubles but worked

Set connection mode to 0x00 in the .ecu file, set samples / s to 50 in the config file and pull the instrument fuse. Start connecting when ignition on, then start car. Should work.
