Audi A4 B5: Help with IMMO PIN from 95040 Read
« on: August 05, 2016, 08:37:10 AM »
Hello,
I was able to read my immo (Audi A4 B5 ECU 8D0906018E) using Argdub's EEPROM reader. Problem is I can't seem to identify the PIN/SKC from the .bin file. The relevant lines contain FF FF and nothing else. Kindly advise if I'm doing something wrong and assist with extracting the PIN/SKC from the attached file.
Many thanks.

Ok doesn't matter the code
check 17-instruments using vcds/vagcom , if there is only immo id ( AUZ... etc ) a no VIN then it's immo2 for sure.

Locutas this looks like a virgin dump rather than a read from your ecu. no vin or immo id either.Pin looks to be 0001.But the dump looks to be incomplete. Is this a european ecu??

Hi guys
I'm posting here because i have a 2000 Audi A4 B5 that I just cannot seem to read the 95040 Bin with Argdubs Tool. Below is the response i'm getting.
I have been able to pull the Instrument Cluster Eprom dump (attached) using the VAG K Comander Lead and software version 1.4 which is 2048k . I have run this through the eeprom tool but the tool has problems parsing the 2k bin file. I have had no luck getting the ECU Eprom Dump usign the VAG K Commander.
All i really want is to get the SKC code from the BIN file so i can replace the only key i lost for my Audi Avant. Like most punters i'm loth to pay the $800 for a key to be sent from Germany to Australia.
Can the SKC code be read from the 2048k Instrument Cluster Bin? If so which blocks do i need to read??

6A1A - swap byte 1A6A - DEC 6762
so your PIN is 6762
You have immo2 so reading Epprom from ecu wouldn't help you...

Hi Macxx
Thanks for your quick reply on the question of how to establish the SKC from the immobilizer bin file. I saw another post that also confirmed to look for the hex reference repeated 3 times in the immobilizer cluster bin file. I did try the code in VCDS under the "immobilizer section / Login" section but VCDS would not except the code for some reason. I was hoping to confirm the details of the currently configured but lost key in VCDS.
I'm waiting for a immo 2 key fob to come in the mail soon so will try again shortly. I have also purchased the 5.5 Vag K Commander Cable with the hopes of being able to pull the ECU' bin. I cannot work out why i cannot receive the ECU bin after establishing a connection.
