Start by adding a bit of KFMRES and log the results (rpm, timing, throttle plate angle) with and w/o clutch in (assuming it is a manual).

When you say add a bit of KFMRES how do you do that? pick a point on the graph and drag it up? increase all of the values slightly? There is also KFMRESK which is clutch disengaged.

Also I did pay a tuner who claimed could fix my readiness issues and the idle. He did neither. So I decided to learn how to do it. Bought the cable, vcds, and started on this forum. Got the readiness knocked out but still have the idle to fix. Crashing out for the night and I have a teacher work day tomorrow. So I'll check back when I can but definitely after 4 central time.

Thanks again,
J

Did you try to raise idle rpm by adaptation , as I remember channel 1 using vcds/vagcom.

Did you get a refund?

I did, didnt change anything. I could get the value to change but it didn't actually do anything.

Nope, he tried quite a few times to remote flash new versions of his tune but after it bricked on me a few times he kind of gave up. It bricked a few days after he would flash it because of a checksum error.

Ok only because I just saw this in another thread, people have used lemmiwinks to raise the idle,
with stiffer mounts to reduce vibration. I'm not sure if increasing torque reserves or just raising
the idle is a better move I do know you only need a little more revs to smooth it out.

This is what I'm using right now. I don't have my original file right now as I didn't know to pull it before I had it tuned first. I modified the tune I got from the tuner to fix my readiness issue and the checksum brick issue it was having.

I tried lemmiwinks and it didnt change the idle at all. I tried multiple values and even got into vcds after I made a lemmi adjustment to make sure the values were actually changed and they were.

I'm sure your turbo feels the same. How does it run?

Runs pretty well. I decided to buy another tune from a reputable person. I still plan on learning how to do this though. Plus I'm sure someone will want to raise their idle one day.

Dig through the FR. Maybe it is there. Let us know if you find it..
